The 5th edition bard receives very few spells unique to themselves or the flavour of a storyteller or musician. Besides vicious mockery, there is little uniqueness to the bard’s spellcasting ability. Even one of their class features is to steal spells from a wizard; while that may be interesting, if there’s a wizard already in the party, it makes little use for spicing up encounters in interesting ways.
This spell list introduces a number of new spells specific to the flavour of a bard; some new, and some reimagined versions of 4th Edition class skills.
