Having come across an equipment manual for pathfinder in my quest for more magic items, instead I found a myriad of alchemical concoctions one can create in pathfinder. What use do alchemist’s tools have in 5e? Not much. Well, now they do! Having converted most of the pathfinder alchemical creations into an Alchemy system in 5e, now those tools have a use.
Items are based on a rarity and crafting DC, with a number of components that will be required in order to finish an item. Possible crafts include bombs, potions, and alchemical weapons to give your party an edge in combat. The system is rather open to a DM’s discretion, allows for altered DCs and circumstantial changes to be made on the fly to get the most out of alchemy.
